  1. Salvatore Chirumbolo, Dr Prof Salvatore Chirumbolo, Ph.D. is a Clinical Biochemist, Senjor Researcher at the Department of Medicine of the University of Verona-Italy. He was currently Head of the Laboratory of Physiopathology of Obesity at the Laboratory of Medical Research of the local University (LURM). He graduated from Bologna University, majoring in biological and genetic sciences in 1990 andearned a High Master PhD in Clinical Biochemistry in 1995, with full praise. From 1991 to 1995, Dr Chirumbolo worked as a research associated at the Université Paris VII Diderot at the Museé National d’Histoire Naturelle and at the Department of Clinical Microscopy at the University of Verona He earned seven fellowship grants for his study on in vitro pharmacology of human phagocytes and platelets. In 1995 he ruled the Laboratory of Molecular Biology at the Ospedale Orlandi from the NIH local Research Hospital. He became Chief Director in the managing of HIV and HCV Molecular Biology Laboratory from 1995 to 2000. In 2000 he was the Head Director of the Laboratory of Hematologica and Clinical Research in a local NIH funded laboratory in Verona. He is author of more than 66 papers on Pubmed, member of the Editorial Board of Nutrition, Edorium Journal of Pathology, British Journal of Pharmaceuical Research. He wrote several Book Chapters and a book about the role of water in biological systems and is Member of several Scientific Committee and Societies., Italy

  1. Prof Tibor Hortobágyi, Tibor Hortobágyi is an academic neuropathologist, head of department and chair at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. His clinical work covers almost the full spectrum of diagnostic neuropathology. His research group, supported by the National Brain Research Program, runs projects in the fields of neurodegeneration, stroke, brain tumours with focus on clinico-pathological correlations and signal transduction pathway analysis. Previously he has worked for 10 years at King’s College & King’s College Hospital in London and was a PI on neurodegenerative research projects in Chris Shaw’s team; he is currently visiting senior lecturer at the Department of Clinical and Basic Neuroscience, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London. He is fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. Between 1998 and 2001 he was research fellow at the Department of Physiology, Ludwig Maximillians University Munich, and worked on experimental models a focal brain injury. He was a visiting fellow with a scholarship at the Clinical Institute of Neurology, University of Vienna, in 2002. He received PhD at the Semmelweis University Budapest based on experimental studies on vascular and parenchymal factors in secondary brain injury in trauma and stroke models. He graduated and specialized in pathology at the University of Szeged, Hungary. Tibor Hortobágyi is author on more than 100 full research papers, including in Science, Nature Neuroscience, Genome Research, and wrote several book chapters. He is editorial board member of numerous medical journals including Acta Neuropathologica, Frontiers in Neurodegeneration, American Journal of Neurodegenerative Disease. He is devoted to neuropathology teaching and has been panel of examiners member at The Royal College of Pathologists and Euro-CNS., Hungary

  3. Toshiya Inada, Vice President, Seiwa Hospital, Institute of Neuropsychiatry, 91 Bentencho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, 162-0851, Japan. Dr Inada graduated from the Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan, in 1984. After the completion of his internship at the Keio University Hospital (1984-1985), he worked as a clinical psychiatrist at Sakuragaoka Memorial Hospital in Tokyo (1985-1989). From 1989 to 1991, he had been engaged in studying basic neuroscience on central dopaminergic systems as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. After he returned to Japan, he had been working as Associate Director at the National Institute of Mental Health, National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry (1994-2002), as Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Psychobiology, Nagoya University, Graduate School of Medicine (2002-2005), as Professor at the Teikyo University School of Medicine and as Head at the Department of Psychiatry, Teikyo University Chiba Medical Center (2005-2007). He has been working as Vice President, Seiwa Hospital, Institute of Neuropsychiatry, since 2008. He received the Rafaelsen Fellowship Award from the 19th Collegium Internationale Neuro-Psychopharmacologicum (CINP) meeting in 1994 and the Paul Janssen Research Encouragement Award from the 18th Japanese Society of Clinical Neuropsychopharmacology meeting in 2008. His major research topics include Clinical neuropsychopharmacology, especially diagnostic, preventive, therapeutic and molecular genetic studies on neuroleptic induced movement disorders. He has been an opinion leader on these fields. He developed a new rating scale for drug-induced extrapyramidal symptoms scale (DIEPSS) in 1994 when he had been working as visiting scientist at McLean Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, Boston, under the supervision of Dr. George Gardos. The DIEPSS is now translated into more than 10 languages and is widely used in the clinical trials of the psychotropic agents in the treatment of psychoses conducted in Asia.
